I lucked out and do not have to do the blog on pseudoscience this week.
But, I found a good website on cells: http://publications.nigms.nih.gov/insidethecell/chapter1.html
I was looking for some extra material. I made the mistake of ordering my textbook from Amazon, so I don't have the cd that came with the book from the Sierra college bookstore.
Oh, and if you are looking for some good audiovisual aides for last week's chemistry stuff, look at http://www.learner.org/resources/series61.html?pop=yes&pid=798
If last week's lab has you wondering more about Michael Pollan, you can hear one of his lectures on your ipod (or pc). It can be found here:

And if you would like to hear some lectures from another beginning bio class, here is Bezerkly's (ready for your ipod listening or viewing).

Of course the audio visual aids for chemistry is sponsored by Dow! Great visuals though - I will recommend them to everyone!
ReplyDeleteyes Dow, Archer Daniel midland , monsanto are all part of that evil empire I mention in week 2's blog. After listening to 2 or 3 years of "deconstructing dinner" i have heard far more than I ever wanted to know about these corporations.
